For Gun Cleaning: "A Better Q-Tip"
I can't take the credit for finding these, but I saw a post about them on another gun site, so I figured I'd post about it here for you'all to try.
I found these in the "beauty section" of Wally-World (first time ever in there... but I got out alive...) where the cotton balls and makeup applicators were.
These have pointy ends on one end, and a rounded end on the other; shaped like little arrows. Either end holds solvent really well, and the pointy end is great for applying oil to grooves in slides or inside actions/receivers. I was really pleased with these the first time I used them, and the were really cheap too!
But the best part is...
...These really hold together well!!!
You won't be picking off remnants of lint or "fuzz" like you will usually find when using standard Q-Tips, even the name-brand ones. These don't fall apart as easily. So...
I wonder just how many of you will be going to the beauty section this week?!?!?!
Tight groups!

Already have used them. To freeze HPV (warts) off of the most-tender areas of female patients. The pointy-tips help confine the liquid nitrogen to just what needs frozen; you don't exactly want much 'collateral damage' there...!

Re: For Gun Cleaning: "A Better Q-Tip"
I saw these at Ob/Gyn doctors office when the wife was pregnant with the first kid. My arm still hurts from getting smacked when I blurted out "can I have a few of those? They would be great for cleaning guns". Needless to say I was excused from all future visits.

I've got three women in my house so I have been using those for years. They will reach into 90 degree areas while regular q-tips will not.

I probably will, but I'm going to raid the wife's makeup drawers first to see if we already have some.

Cool! I'll have to get some of those to clean sewing machines with.
Seriously I use my Hoppe's #9 more for cleaning the sewing machines than I do guns.

Might have a use for them. How long are they?
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Yes... my question as well...Ray Newman wrote:Might have a use for them. How long are they?
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
