Moving!
Thank the good Lord, we got a contract signed for the sale of our house last night, and about two hours later signed a contract to purchase our dream property! Say a prayer everything gets through inspections and works out. If it does, moving day is March 5th! Goodbye town living, hello shooting out the back door and peeing off the deck!

Make sure the wind is not coming back too strong towards you.
Congrats on the new home.

Re: Moving!
Got plenty of young strong backs for the manual work, I'd be happy with truck and driver. Food and beer is a given, and the range can certainly be open too.
Forgot to mention the best part about the place, It's got a walk in vault/safe room in the basement. 12" thick concrete top and walls, just needs a vault door installed. Wife has her walk in closet, I'll have my walk in gun safe.

I pee in the back yard in town... That said, I'm jealous of being able to shoot out the back door without being arrested.

Re: Moving!
I'm sure all will go as planned, and I offer you congratulations on your new place. It looks great!
I must confess that having been surrounded by mountains my whole life, that much flat land around might make me nervous! As for peeing out back, well, that's how you know you are really home!

Re: Moving!
I'm pretty excited about that too, especially since I had to give up my built in the wall gun safe in our current home. The buyer really wanted that safe, and I think that's what sealed the deal.Paladin wrote:OK, Now I really am jealous.TedH wrote:Got plenty of young strong backs for the manual work, I'd be happy with truck and driver. So if anyone has any recommendations for a vault door, I'm all ears.
Right now, I will probably go with something like this

It's far enough from any neighbors that soundproofing wouldn't be necessary.
