Post by SteveR »

Hi Terry,

Good to see you posting again. Would you be willing to share some of you favorite 35Rem handloads?
Also what cast do you recommend?

Thanks,
Steve

Well let me see here:
R-P 35REM brass
Speer 180grJFP
35.0grs H322
WLR primers

W-W brass
R-P 200gr JSP CORE-LOKT
39.5GRS VARGET
WLR primers

YOU DOUBLE CHECK EVERY BIT OF THIS AGAINST YOUR MANUALS, THAT IS A CLEAR ORDER !!

I have a pile of 35 caliber cast bullets to test but never got a round tuit....not even a square tuit matter of fact.

I have found 31.0 gr. Rx7 with a Rem. 200 gr RN. Velocity should be around 2050-2100 fps. I use this in my Model 8 Rem. and a Model 141 Rem. I also use 33.0 gr. Rx7 with a 158 gr. SP. (pistol bullet), velocity, I think, should be around 2300 fps.

Thank you Terry, I will check with the manuals.
I hope soon to find a mold for a 200gr cast. I bet cast will shoot fine in 35Rem, almost made for shooting cast.
I did find some of those Hornady sqishy point 200gr, hope to do a range report on them.

Thanks again,
Steve
