When the Model 1860 went into production, only about 200 rifles were manufactured with iron frames before the more common brass frame was adopted. Now, for the first time, Henry is recreating the iron frame Model 1860, and this is the number one gun of the series. The lever action gun fires .44-.40 and features case-hardened steel receiver, lever and buttplate, a fancy American Walnut stock and a 24-inch blued steel barrel.
The Henry Iron Frame was donated to the National NRA Foundation Banquet & Auction at the NRA Annual Meetings by Henry Repeating Arms. The event will take place on Thursday, April 9 at 5:00PM CST.
The firearm will be on display at the Henry booth throughout the duration of the Annual Meetings at Booth #1438. This online auction will end on Sunday, April 12th at 4:00 PM CST.

Beautiful --- much closer to my preference than the shiny brass --- (but i'd gladly take one of each --- now if only they could make them in .45 Colt )
