In the 2014 video of the famous Christmas Eve truce they close the scene with "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" with great effect. The song has tremendous emotional impact for those of us who grew up singing it in church. It is my favorite moment in the remake of True Grit when it is sung by Iris Dement in that haunting voice of hers. I believe that the piano on the soundtrack is her also.
