My favorite, and most useful handgun. Stainless, both cyls, 4 5/8" and a decent holster.
Old School, slow to reload, but one of the last couple shooters I would ever want to get rid of. I really don't know how small a "group" it will shoot, but empty shotshells are DRT, and I can scare the pelosi out of pop cans at 100 yards. Even hit one every so often. I've had it awhile, and I've spend countless hours in a lawn chair, soda, and open brick of .22s on the little side table, terrorizing every little white rock within sight.

The big capacity DAs are getting all the attention these days (and I do have an 8 shot SP 101, but don't shoot it much), but this is just too much fun to put down.

Mine was similar except blued, and in .41mag. Loaded with 210 gr. SWC, enough Unique for about 850fps, was my go to short gun for years. In a fit of stupidity it slipped away for something else?

I've owned so many guns in my life I can't even remember all of them. I'd guess well over a hundred....by quite a bit. I do remember that the one I regret getting rid of the most was a blued single six with both cylinders. I took that gun to the 1990 IMHSA Internationals and used it in the production revolver class. My spotter didn't show up and I had to shoot the entire 80 targets without a spotter. I shot a 77x80 that day with that gun. I got out of silhouette a few years later and sold it. I regret it every time I think about it. I think I'm going to have to get another one

My first good handgun was a Ruger convertible 6 1/2" I bought in 1961 or 1962. I probably shot that gun almost as much as I have most of my handguns put together since. It was stolen out of my house long ago. Then some years ago I bought another early ruger single six that looked unfired! Think it dates to 1958 or 1959. It`s the one on top here. The one under it is a .32 H&R magnum. Also have a .44 special flat top. It`s the bottom picture.

I too have a real old Ruger Single-Six (1957), bought it for $75.00 at my LE Agencies auction, it's my favorite all-time revolver. I like the slowness of this single-action, it has a certain rhythm in loading, shooting, reloading...life is good with a a Single-Six... :)

Haven't had time to get it refinished, but it does have new OEM rosewood grip panels from Ruger...
