Shilen annual open house...

Post by piller »

FYI, Shilen is having its annual open house on Saturday April 23rd. I don't know what all will be available, but the company's HR director told me that they will have factory tours, and that some vendors will be there. Sounds like fun to me.

Is anyone else interested? It is in Ennis, TX, and if you get to town early enough to want breakfast, I recommend that you stop at the Kolache Depot near the I45 crossing. They have some of the best Kolaches you will ever eat. I rate them right up there even with what is made down in West, TX. (Near Waco, TX for those who might not know.)

I plan on going because I want to see what the factory looks like. Just curious. Who knows, I might find something to buy.

Piller, I have had those kolaches from West when visiting daughter when she was going to Baylor. Outstanding!

I'm not in the mood for any raspberry kolaches now.

A Kielbasa sausage wrapped in a soft bread dough and baked until golden. They also have some with fruit in them, but the sausage ones are the best. Terry, if you let me know the next time you are in the Dallas, TX area, I will treat you to some Kolaches. You may know more about firearms than I ever will, but there might be a few things I can show you. Good food is usually worth experiencing.
