My Blackhawk is lonely no more!
After selling my Rossi 357 in a moment of foolishness a while back, I finally replaced it with a very nice example of a Marlin 357 Cowboy. Darn near mint. Range day tomorrow.

Real fine looking little carbine to partner with that Blackhawk.

I can't say enough good about Marlin's Cowboys. About the best thing I can say, is I own about a half dozen of them, and shoot 'em all on a regular basis.

Nice Marlin!
Take plenty of ammo.
Take plenty of ammo.

That will make you a fine pair to shoot to. A few years ago I went to the trouble of buying a Vaquero and a Marlin, both in 41 Mag only to sell them both shortly after getting them 'cause someone wanted the same combo.

The little Marlin seems to get along well with my pet 357 load. 180 gr cast with 15.0 gr of LilGun, 1780 fps. Just over an inch at 50 yards with the factory sights. That's about as good as I can do with that type of iron sights anymore.

Re: My Blackhawk is lonely no more!
Foolish???? What's so foolish about getting rid of foreign junk and replacing it with a rifle that's made in a country that allows its citizens to use them freely?
Ted, I'd say you did just fine. ----6
That rifle looks familiar. Was that Fred's? It looks like the one I sold him for a hundred bucks

Yes, it was. And Fred made a handsome profit on his $100 investment.

They aren't cheap, but I'm not complaining about what I paid for this one.Panzercat wrote:Whoa. A real Marlin 357 cowboy? How long will you be paying it off for?
