Big disaster

Post by Pitchy »

Yesterday I left the van parked by the hill that goes south towards a resort and a lake.
Got up this morning looked out the window and no van, somehow it jumped out of gear  and rolled down the hill, about 100 yards how it missed all the trees is beyond me.
Went across a road through the resort and into the lake.
It also snowed a foot and the temps dropped dramatically so now it`s froze in and covered with snow.
So guess we`ll fire up the tractor and go see if we can get it out, another bad thing the DNR put restrictions on burning so now we can`t burn the leave piled up all over the yard.
Mercy.

Oh boy I hope the DNR doesn't come after you about you polluting the lake!
Same thing happened to one of our club members in Canada years ago. Only difference is the truck hit trees on its way down a very steep and short hill. They had a heck of a time getting it back up the hill!
Good luck Pitchy!

Wow, thank God nobody was hurt. Hopefully the van isn't in too deep Pitchy. Hopefully no water in the motor or electrical system.
Be careful with the recovery, my friend.

Good luck with the recovery, I hope not too much damage done when you get back on dry land.
