Saw on Gary Reeder's sight a rifle in 355GNR, but couldn't find any info on the wildcat.
I would like to know what ballistics are on it. May have to shoot Gary an email.
Anyone know anything about it?

No, a marlin rifle in 355GNR, Which I "think" is a 30/30, blown out and .358 bullet on it.

Interesting! I haven't been on his website in years. I wounder it's the same as the "35-30" or "35/30-30"? I've just sold my Marlin 336 chambered in 35/30-30 that was done by JES Rebore out in Washington. You have the specs on the 355GNR?

I don't think a 35-30 is blown out. It's simply a .30-30 necked out to .358 with no other changesMainehunter wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 5:15 pm Interesting! I haven't been on his website in years. 30-30 blown out straight and necked down to 35 caliber. More power than a 35 Remington and works better in a lever gun due to the 30-30 rim. Plus brass is easy to find. Out of a 12" barrel, which means only 9" of actual barrel it will do a 180 grain at almost 2300 fps. A 200 grain also at almost 2300 fps. A 225 grain at almost 2200 fps. A 250 grain at a bit over 2000 fps. For a longer barrel add 40 fps per inch over 12". That would mean add about 500 fps to the 180 grain velocity, and 2800 fps with an 180 grain bullet is plenty for just about any critter. About the same velocity for a 200 grain, 2700 fps for a 225 grain and 2500 fps for a 250 grain.

Re: 355GNR
Wouldn't it be easier to use 38-55 brass?
