EAA/Tanfoglio polymer 1911!
Anyone else see the accuracy results in the Dope Bag review of this 1911 in the May American Rifleman? I was really impressed with sub-inch groups at 25 yards out a 1911 clone with a street price well under $500.

Funny, I noticed that too. Didn't look bad to me for that money. They said it ran 400rnds without a hitch too.
Only fly in the ointment for me was the light rail. I like rails, just not on 1911's.
Checked their site. There is a Commander and Officers in the works too.

Oldwin, well you can always touch up that rail with a file and a propane torch.

I actually thought of that!

I've always looked askance at such claims... Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn once in a while! As for polymer 1911s? Tell me when it's run 4,000 rounds flawlessly, or 40,000 rounds without anything more than spring tuning...

Griff, I look askance at accuracy tests as well, but not so much in the Rifleman. As to wear cycle, if this polymer technology is similar to that used by Ruger and Glock, it may very well be durable.

That's what I figured too.
