POLITICS - global warming tax being considered...

Congress is moving quickly to pass a $1.2 trillion Global
Warming Tax that is based on unfounded science and could
cripple our economy. A vote is expected before summer.

I would hope that this doesn't have a chance in hell of passing, but it doesn't hurt to let them know how we feel.

What we really need is an "idiot tax" in this country. If we taxed every moron that bought into stuff like this, we could eliminate the national debt in a year...

In fact, the "rebate" that congress is so proud of is a simple testament that we are already so overtaxed that it already is impinging the economy. It's a bandaid on a gaping wound, in the nation's guts.

In intersting, if not unexpected, development. Just this week I heard of a report from one of the leading global warming "scientists" predicting a fairly noticeable cooling of the northern hemisphere over the next 20 years, caused by a subtle shifting of ocean currents. This due, naturally -- to global warming!

These people think we're idiots and, unfortunately, I fear that for the most part they're correct.

You know how most research scientist get their salary; through research funding. The more "stink" they can stir up about the subject, the more money they get. Basically, the current ruckus about GW is just advertising.
