22 Magnum Schofield . . . sort of . . .
Now THIS looks cool....
I have a Pug but this 'Schofield' version is just cool.....

I remember their first run but they only made 500 or so then made some changes.

Tho 1st run goes for a pretty penny too. I still haven’t shot one those NAA’s yet. Todd
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I had one of their "Earls" that is supposed to look a bit like an 1858 Remington. I just could not get that thing to shoot well. Sent it back, the rebarrelled, and still no bueno.
If that Schofield can be accurate, that would be a very cool little revolver.

I "almost" got one of the 1st models when they sold for $499, but didn't; and then later when I looked again -- they had more than doubled in price and kept going up.
As a top-break collector, I'm again tempted to get one of the new ones...
Looks to me they replaced the "H&R like" top latch, which closes over a stud at the top of the frame, with a "Schofield like" locking latch that is clearly seen in the photo. I'll bet that proves to be a more secure and robust design.
Oh my... Wish I hadn't seen this posting!!!

How are those stubby little things when you touch off a magnum in 'em? And, Do you suppose there's enough barrel to burn all the powder?

Re: 22 Magnum Schofield . . . sort of . . .
From several of the reports I read today, Hornady's new "Critical Defense" loading in 22 Mag "approaches" .380-class performance for wound channel and depth of penetration. I can't recall which review it was in, but they included images of shots from each caliber, fired into ballistic gel. The powder of Hornady's loading was also optimized for short barrels.
I'll know SOON....................
As I ordered one, paid for it, and it shipped out TODAY.
I knew I shouldn't have read this posting, or touched base with my "enabler" friend the Ysabel Kid either................
I'll just tell my wife it's Jay's fault...
