Want to design a Henry Rifle to your specs...?
https://www.henryusa.com/henry-firearm-suggestion-box/
Kind of nice they are soliciting suggestions....
(I suggested a 16" threaded-barrel levergun with twist appropriate for heavy-for-caliber bullets, in either 45 Colt or 32-20 (using .308" barrel....)

That sounds like fun.

I gave it a shot. I'd like to see a .30-30 necked up to .35 cal. They could call it the .35 Henry.

Isn't a 35-30 one of the oldest Wildcats?

I suggested 218,25-20 & 32-20 chamberings

I want one of their single shots in 22 Hornet.
Re: Want to design a Henry Rifle to your specs...?
I suggested that they offer extra barrels for their single shot rifle series. I have one in .223 and it would be nice to have another caliber for the same frame.

My suggestion was for a non-AR auto-loading rifle in .22Mag.............

Different barrels on the single shot sounds fun. Rossi tried to get that going and couldn't. Another company did that for a while, but they quit. I can't remember the name of the company. I think they were bought by Marlin. Something 1892.com I think. Hadn't thought of them for years.
Thompson Center has that idea, but too many frame choices to match the barrel with in my opinion.
If Henry could offer other barrels and keep the whole system simple, then it would be a good idea. A single shot rifle frame with interchangeable barrels and 2 fore ends, 1 for octagonal and 1 for round, would be nice.

H& R had some rifle barrels then someone got the rights to it and had rifle clambering too.
T/C has gotten confusing with their frames, real shame they closed their custom shop!

Yes, Marlin bought out H&R/NEF, then Marlin was bought out by Remington.
H&R/NEF's interchangeable barrels were supposed to be fitted to your receiver when you sent the order in; so if Henry offers barrels, they'll make them customer switchable w/o any fitting.
When Fox River Outfitters (aka the T/C Custom Shop) was closed, T/C wasn't T/C anymore, as only some T/C workers & some T/C production was moved to Mass when T/C bought T/C for their investment casting & long gun barrel ops.

NEF that's right- thanks Pete44ru !
I got a 1:48 muzzle loader barrel for my 1st generation encore from Fox Ridge.Gave me the ability to shoot round balls or lighter conicals without needing 150 grains of powder and no fighting with sabots!

32/20 leveraction got my vote......
I wished Ruger would have a suggestion box, I always wanted a 96 in .22 Hornet.

Re: Want to design a Henry Rifle to your specs...?
Yep, 32-20 in a limited run
How about a 50 Alaskan?? Same rim and case length as the 45-70
Or 357 maximum!!!
Last suggestion was also the 35-30. Call it the 358 Henry. Maybe its straight enough some of the states that require a straight case would OK it.
How about a threaded muzzle on the 327?

22 hornet would be nice, also offer a thinner recoil pad to shorten the length of pull easily,13.5" is best for me.

A 356 Win or 338 Marlin carbine would be nice. I might be able to get past the lack of a loading gate.. I just can't do it with revolver rounds.
Re: Want to design a Henry Rifle to your specs...?
I have a real nice Brass Big Boy in .357. I think it's too big and too heavy for a .357...The smooth brass buttplate is slippery. All in all, I wish it was the 16" steel model, but it was a gift and I would never get rid of it.

There are plenty of Browning 348s out there for less than what a new Henry would cost
