What kind of gas mileage do you guys get?

22.14 overall - 20 around town waiting at five way lights with late summer gas and the occassional drive through - 29 mpg highway; the highway went up about 2mpg with Amsoil over Mobil 1.

319grand on the odometer of my '91 s10 pickup.
4.3 v6, 5spd, 4WD.
She made 25 highway new, on the stock size tires, and now with larger tires at harder pressures, about 22mpg on a combined highway and in town work commute.
Motor's still got plenty of compression, so we'll just wait and see how long it goes...
Must be doing something right with the old crankcase
Often thought I should just get a bike for my commute, but then I wouldn't have anyplace to put my work gear, and if the the world crashed down while I was at work, I'd be stuck out w/o my "Rig". I'll stick with this for now.

I wish they still had those Honda 90cc bikes. I could use that to all my round town running. The little mopeds are too little for our hills.

They still do make those lil' Honda bikes. But they've upped them to 100 cc's now and slicked 'em up a bit more modern with CDI ignition and all. That's what Sheri rides, or a version thereof. They now have one they call the "Wave" that's as close to a linear descendant of the 90 cc rigs from yesteryear as is on the market now. Sheri's ride is strong enough to carry the two of us 'round town, and we've got some hills worth respecting here on the western side of the central ridge of the Andes... I wonder what it'd take to get 'em up to the States... you'd probably be able to pick up a decent full sized bike for the same price, unless you imported 'em directly from Japan or India...

I had a Honda xr 250L 6 speed enduro that ran perfect and got 72mpg.
There was a guy that would not take no for an answear and gave me way more then it was worth.
Would be a great bike to have now.

2000 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner with 246k on the ticker (3.4L V6 5VZFE). I got 21.5 highway when it was new but it's now down to about 18-19.

This thing has been a great truck. Beyond basic maintenance I've done: a starter, a fan clutch, a thermostat and a rear main seal.

Best of all, it runs like a top and it's paid for!

My 2001 Volkswagen Passat 4Motion (AWD) sedan gets ~16mpg mixed, ~12.5mpg city and ~24mpg highway. That V6 is not the most efficient unit that VW/Audi ever made. By comparison, the 1.8T is far, far more fuel efficient.

Just saw a 40mpg Smart trundling by, the other day, and I noticed an involuntary wince.

Honda Pilot 2007 - 16 MPG pulling trailer over three 10,000' passes to camp at 10,000' (from 6.000') - get same mileage around town also -





400 pounds of Mastiffs might be a factor.

My Ford 7.2 litre Diesel is still going strong at 230,000 miles, but it does not seem to get as good mileage as it used to. I think the low sulphur fuel might have something to do with it.

That is the truck we wanted, but needed a crew cab, and no crews were availible until '03.
Next one will defineately be a Dodge!

When weather allows, my go-to-work ride (10 miles one way) is a 2001 Honda Rebel 250. It will do 70mph with my fat butt on it and gets 65mpg:



Most other times I drive my 2002 Ford F250 diesel. It gets 15 mpg local driving, 18 mpg on the highway, and around 12 mpg pulling my 23ft. travel trailer:



For fun and social events, my ride gets only about 13 mpg, but you have to allow for style points. It's a fully restored to original '55 Chevrolet Nomad!

1997 Cadillac Seville SLS with 32 valve V-8 NorthStar motor: 22 mpg tank to tank driving under variety of conditions with 89 octane fuel and performance air filter. Synthetic-blend motor oil by Valvoline.

It gets 27-29 mpg at 75 mph during long highway trips!

We have a super cub that had that same paint scheme, its in the process of getting rebuilt, it will be painted j3 yellow with the lightning bolt. Hopefully we get it goin the earlier part of this summer

I have a 1994 Ford Mustang GT (still had the 5.0L) that gets about 17 avg, the highest I've gotten is 24 and the lowest is 10. I also have a 1992 F150 with the 5.0L Auto. It seems like all i was gettin was 8mpg but that was city and driving into the wind, got 15 once with a tailwind.....
