I tried the Search feature but no results, I have to be doing something wrong I guess. anyhow, was searching for some articles/archives with the above info? any help? I have a Mod 94BB, I have some Buffalo Bore Heavy 38-55 255fn ammo ordered. If it shoots well,I'll take it hunting this fall.

Thanks pard, found an article, good read. Of course, I'm not going to make up my own 300gr bullet like he did, ha. I just got in two boxes of the Buffalo Bore Heavy 38-55 255fn ammo and it is very well made stuff! If this rifle shoots it well, I'll just stick with it for now. Its been about 8 yrs since I even hunted with a levergun. That was a little marlin 1894CB in 45 Colt. I used the Hornady 250 XTP ( I forget the powder right now, doah!) anyhow, I shot a nice 4x3 muley at 75yds with it. It had a Williams peep also. I much prefer a peep.
