My Marlin 45 Colt Levers
Just some Marlin eye candy for your viewing pleasure:
All in 45 Colt:
Top: 1894 CB
Middle: 1894 CBC Limited
Bottom: 1894 Marlin Limited
The 16" Limited kindled my hot interest in 16" levers. It's all its fault.

Might as well face it, you're addicted to guns . . .
it looks like one side of the gun safe has a leakage issue, as you progress your barrels have shrunk. Nice line up. Do you find any differences in the accuracy, velocity or loads the rifles like? Very nice

As for differences in accuracy, the 20" CBC Ltd (middle) was cranky at first until I loosened the mag tube cap screw and ground the screw tip recess a tad deeper in the barrel so that the screw tip didn't really make much contact. From then on it shot just fine.
As for trajectory, when using CB loads with 250/255 gr LRN bullets I find that the sight elevators have to be cranked up, as you'd expect. And w.r.t. groups, all three are around two (2) MOA, and better if I'm having a good day. The groups on the long CB actually improve with a 150-200 fps boost in velocity. The shorty Ltd seems to shoot ANYTHING well, and I'd allow it's a function of the stubby, stiff barrel.
I wish all three were uncheckered. I just prefer uncheckered wood on a lever.
I appreciate the comments!

Yep - that one looks out of place, and I'm sure would be more comfortable in my gun safe where it could visit with my .45 LC Redhawk. For the gun's sake and happiness, please send it ASAP...nemhed wrote:I love all of them but that uncheckered Limited is my favorite.

Nice collection.
Having a .357 cowboy with a 20" barrel I have found that I prefer my wood unchequered and a 24" barrel a little cumbersome for normal use.

I'm digging that Little Limited but they all look wunderbar!Noah Zark wrote:
What rear sight is that on the top CB?
Even though I grew up (although some will debate that point... ) with a Win 94, the Marlins have become my hands down favorites.
Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits.

Thanks! My eyes need all the help they can get short of glass if I can help it.
Say, you need my Rossi .45 to get a Win type represented. I think the Little Limited will be fine for payment...
