Re: Secrets of the Houston Warehouse...
The strangest part is that they shot most at 100 yards, despite having 325 yards available.
Still.... 5 shots with points of impact all within 0.035” at 100 yards is kinda decent... 0.35” at 1,000 would not happen, but you get the geometric idea...

That was a long time ago, I remember reading that article nearly twenty years ago.

It was published in "Precision Shooting" if I recall.Carlsen Highway wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 8:52 pm That was a long time ago, I remember reading that article nearly twenty years ago.
They shot at 100 yards because that's the yardage they would shoot the registered IBS Matches at -- it makes sense when you think of it that way.
I used to score the bench matches at one of the Maine Clubs. "Benchrest" is not a sport -- it is a "Way of Life" for those guys, what with the equipment, components, practice, load development and shooting every weekend at every registered match from May through October, from Maine south to PA. They tried to get me interested -- and I was! -- but I didn't become a regular participant because I loved my boat, my fishing rods and wife too much (in that order for that time of year).
