Rossi r92 with the 1776 flag on the reciever?

Are these an older version of the newer r92 or just a r92 with a 1776 flag on the reciever ?

Can't tell much without a pic... what other features are on the rifle? Does it have the bolt safety? Does the serial number start off with a letter or two?

I can't see the profile of the frame well enough to make a determination. It appears to be an older iteration... but I can't remember for sure when they changed the profile of the receiver.

Yeah, that's the new profile, less like the original 1892. If I'm wrong, then others will cheerfully correct me!

There's one in my local. AFIK, they are brand new production. The engraving is what kept me from checking it out.
