Post by EG73 »

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the chiappa made 1887 shotguns are safe to use with Steel shot?

Cheers,

Most steel shot is buffered these days and the wads are quite thick plastic BUT you would best to refer to the owners manual and or an email or phone call to the maker.
Questions like this type I would rather get the answer right from the horse's mouth.

Sent them an email, just posted here to see if anyone would know in case they’re one of those not very communicative companies.

The usual advice is, safe in modified or more open choke.
