Rem/Marlin 336BL, 30-30

Post by trooper joe »

Just found this very nice “RemLin” made in March 2015. Haven’t been to the range yet but the action and trigger pull seem very smooth. The laminated stock is really fitted well.

Nice looking rifle! I have one too 8) I had a 2X-7X Burris Compact scope on mine. I had had the scope for over 40 years, unfortunately it recently wouldn’t hold a zero. I sent it back to Burris who said it couldn’t be repaired  I’ve since mounted a little Bug Buster 3X-12X scope on the rifle. Shoots good but doesn’t look as cool anymore.

And Burris wouldn't replace it with a newer version? That doesn't seem right!?

They are going to replace the 2X-7X 28mm Compact with a Full Size 4X-10X 40mm that is about 3” longer than a compact
Unfortunately they don’t make compact scopes anymore
