38, but mentaly I feel like I should be in my early 20's. Physically, I feel like an old coot. I hate to see what I'll feel like when I AM old.

I'm 38 with a lot of mileage but I hope to still be kicken as long as many of you fellows. I have a few guns older than I am, but no where near enough. Really enjoy it here hanging out with you more "experienced" folks! :)

Well at 24 I am definitely on the front side ot "the hill". It's amazing how much life has changed for me the last 6 years.

It looks like a very large portion(81%) of you guys fall in between 36 and 65.

I'll be 64 in October, but I havn't smoked in 38 years or drank any booze in 15 years, I think it's helped me look and feel younger. I have a 155 acre place, keeps me young trying to turn it into a deer and turkey paradise, I plant a lot of trees, and constantly try to improve this place. Life is good with a pile of leverguns, plenty of ammo, and a good woman.

Ben, I think the way it is supposed to work is that you are supposed to have the number of guns equal to your age. So if you are turning 44 next month, you should own 44 guns. If you don't, then you'd better get to work and get some so you don't fall behind.

I turn 29 on the 18th but I feel like I am nearly 100. Joined the army at 17. Got out before I was 21. Earned my teachers degree by age 25. Taught for a little over a year and been fighting illness for the last 2+ years. Only about 2% of my guns are younger than me. At least I am not the youngest member here. I sure have enjoyed the warm welcomes at this forum and hope to continue.

Well, you need to meet Paco Kelly - IIRC he started into reloading prior to completing his first decade on earth. Me? I got started late, didn't get to reloading until I was 13. :) Of course, neither Paco nor I are still sub 20 - (both having at least doubled that figure) but we both started fairly early in life. It's a learning experience and I thank God for helping me to survive my early experiments in that area. 32 gauge full brass shells with a 20 gauge load of white powder must have upped the pressure level somewhat in the old Boito shotgun, but it held together and I learned a lot from the experience as well, while keeping my guardian angel busy full time I'm sure...

Well, I'm 66 years old and retired. Not on any kind of prescription meds, smoke a little (since 15 years old), drink a little (not as much as I use to), raising meat goat breeding stock and married to a beautiful, capable and bright woman 27 years younger than I (celebrate 16th anniversary next November). So, all in all, not too much to complain about I reckon.

This topic reminded me of an incident that happened to me about 10 years ago. During a state mounted shoot championship, my horse slipped and fell during a turn... luckily, she got back up and I remained astride... anyway, at the end of the run, there was my wife, screamin', "You idiot, you're 48 years old, think you're 24 and act like you're 12... you coulda got hurt!" A friend, mentor and native Texan (who's always giving me grief about being from CA, and quit that day), said, "So... what's the problem?" :D

The Social Security people have said they will send me $1502 per month if I quit work. My boss at work says it
will cost me considerably MORE to stay home. My ''real'' boss. The one I live with. The one that keeps THE check
book says if I retire, quote." No more new TOYS". So, at the eve of bd#62 I think I will postpone the guvment's
offer. Take the offer of my 2 bosses. Electing to get more ''needed toys''. Besides who can afford to ''retire'' these
days with the price of gas, food, toys, ammo? Thats my "experience''
