OT - Colt Action Jobs ?

Post by cshold »

Any of you guys that have Colt SAA's ever have an
action job done by Peacemaker Specialists?

Was it worth the $$$?
What was the turn around time?

Thanks :)

THERE IS NO BETTER COLT SAA PISTOLSMITH THAN EDDIE JANIS.
HIS ACTION JOBS ARE SUPERB.
OF COURSE HE IS WORTH HIS PAY !!!
THE GUN WILL BE OUTTA YOUR HANDS FOR A WEEK OR TWO AS YOU WILL NOT SEND IT UNTIL HE TELLS YOU TO DO SO.

With that AND these testimonials what is to question?

Good looking New Frontier.

Had my SAA done by Bill Oglesby of Oglesby & Oglesby of Springfield, IL. Birthday present from my son & Bill.

Besides the action job, he just re-blued those parts, left the case colors as they were. He replaced the cylinder with a new 3rd gen cylinder and his own designed adjustable mainspring. Trigger pull is an absolutely crisp 1-¾-lb. and the action is literally as smooth as butter.

But Terry was right, have friends with Peacemaker Specialists' action jobs and you won't find better... unless it was done by Bill... :P
Too bad Eddie included one of those testimonials... I have to discount that one... for a more self aggrandizing pr...k I've never met.
