Blogs You Should Read (share your favorites, too)

Post by Hobie »

Of course I'd like you to read "Lady Liberty Defended" and "Shooting with Hobie" but they aren't required reading. Not by a long shot. There are, really are, blogs you should read every week at least. Some are important as well as interesting.

Trying to keep up with the new twists and turns in anti-gun owner law sometimes feels like an exercise in futility. Three blogs should do it for you, David Hardy's "Of Arms & the Law", theh aptly and directly named "John Lott's Website", and David Codrea's "The War on Guns". Virginia residents should also be interested in the VCDL's blog "The Sentinel".

If you like food (and a lot of you do), guns (again, nearly everyone), good photography and good writing you need to visit "Home on the Range". Brigid is worth visiting.

What are your favorites? Would you share them with us?
Sincerely,

Hobie

VonMises is very good on current politics/economics - http://blog.mises.org/blog/ (I just get the daily newsletter email version). Good academic stuff to rebut the liberal/socialist nonsense - I often print copies up and leave them in waiting rooms (including my own 8) ) and give them to people.

Neal Boortz is hard to beat - http://boortz.com/nealz_nuze/index.html

More politics/economics stuff - http://lewrockwell.com/
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

I read Brigid, very good writing, and Tamara, at View From The Porch, (books, bikes and boomsticks), and The Lawdog Files. They are linked in Brigids blog. There are a couple others, but I don't have time to keep up with them regularly. Barely have time to read these, and check e-mails, and this board now and then.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt-

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

I'm a member of the Barking Moonbat Early Warning System http://www.barking-moonbat.com which had its' original owner die almost two years ago. The guy that's running things on this side of the Atlantic now is a budding levergun enthusiast who has done some work on a .45-75, IIRC. (I did refer him here, just FYI. Don't know if he ever signed up.)

I also hit Michelle Malkin's site a lot, Conservative Cave, and some baseball-related blogs. The URLs are below:
