OT Do Not Fear Friday The 13th

I was born on a Friday the 13th........How can it be anything else but the perfect day?

I don't know. Back when I was a young lad, I wrecked my '68 GTO on two consecutive Friday the 13'ths. Of course it could have had something to do with too much horsepower and not enough sense.

Hadn't even realized it was Friday the 13th (don't keep track when yer retired) until you brought it up. I just knocked on wood and will get up (CAREFULLY) and walk (CAREFULLY) into the kitchen to get some salt to (CAREFULLY) throw over my shoulder. Then I will stand still and CAREFULLY make three complete rotations to my left and then CAREFULLY make three complete rotations to my right. I may or may not drive to town today. If I do, I'll have to kick all four tires on the truck and kiss the hood being CAREFUL not to stick my lips to the cold metal of the hood!!!

Friday the 13th doesn't scare me it's Saturday the 14th that does. I hit a dog on a motorcycle that day and ended up with two pins in my right shoulder and a trashed scoot. Tomorrow is the day I'll be really "careful".

Back in the seventies, I read that that the dangerous day was the Friday AFTER the 13th---(the 20th) It had something to do with the moon and stars and other bs. I laughed, not being a superstitous person. Anyway, a week later (on the 20th), I rolled my near new 1976 Ford 4 X 4 Ford pick-up. Of course, that might have something to do with me approaching a curve in the road doing 50 and skidding on ice.
