There are underlever cartridge guns that look new, despite their age. here are some pics:

how about $750.00 for the pair or best offer? hope i got the right number of zeros there ]

seriously, a fiend's elderly father has these, i suspect brought back after WWII. and i have scanned in these pics and sent them the photos to Greg Martin Auctions,. The old fellow wants to dispose of them, and i have no idea of their true value, but told him i would help find out, and send them on consignment if he wants.

I think you might be short one zero.

Yeah, maybe. Pretty unusual with pretty exquisite embellishments. Good thing those bores are rifled. I couldn't even hazard a guess as to what they'll end up at but I'm pretty sure $750.00 is not it. Are they pre-1899 pistols? I'm guessing 'yes' from the external hammer and style.

That's a beautiful example of gun art.

Interesting, never saw a single barrel Howda, the ones left to me from my fathers collection are a pair of 4 barrel Lancaster models in a 50 snider I believe, where actualy given to him by a Raj in India during a hunt from elephant back, bet that price is closer to 8k then not if its a Purdy built model

I'd say $750 would end up being the commission the auction house makes off of them. A single is one thing but a matched pair is worth a lot more IMHO.
