Charles Daly Little Sharps

Post by jnyork »

Got to handle one of these today at the gunshow, a 45Colt IIRC. Cute as a bug's ear, but at $1195 I can't see me getting one. Sure would be nifty in a .22 Hornet with a Malcolm scope, though.

I've handled a Hornet and .218 Bee but neither had a scope.

Drop the price by $400 or so and I'd be willing to bite.

Someone here bought one a while back in .30-30.

I had to go look at my PM list since we talked about it there. It was Oldgerboy. You might want to try and ring him up and see how his is working out. He told me he got his at cost because he works part time in a gun shop.

Jr. keep s wanting a Sharps for his 21 st birthday but I'm leaning towards something a little less spendy. Maybe an 1885.

For that kinda money, you're just a couple boxes of ammo away from buying an original that you wouldn't be afraid of using.

For that kind of money I'll buy original rifles and watch them go up in value while I enjoy them!

There's one up on GB in 218 Bee from Hendershot's for $830 currently. Not my thing, but pretty nice. There was a review on one in 38-55 in Rifle magazine a while back.
