OT: HI!

Post by Scott64A »

Hi everyone,

Just dropping a line to let everyone know I'm still alive and well.

I have finished medic school, (in December,) and am loving my career.
As for the divorce, "someone" settled in mediation, and I got all that I asked for. Really, my daughter wins here, joint legal/physical custody, a good school, health/dental insurance will be paid by Ex.

Glad to say I am through it.

I've been dubbing around with Mosin-Nagants, and have acquired three of them. These are fun to shoot and collect, and cheaper than Winchesters!!!
haha

I'll be getting back into the swing of things with my Winchester 64a, as soon as I find a rear sight for it. I posted in the Classified section as "WTB", if anyone knows of a rear sight that needs a home, I'd be much obliged.

I apreciate all of the well-wishes and prayers that have been sent my way through all of this past year, and they've helped!
I did lose my dad in Feb., but he didn't suffer much and is certainly in a better place. When I go up to spread ashes, I'll be returning with a pre-64 model 94 that we used to shoot a lot.

Good to be back!

Scott...good to see your post and that things are better all around. Very sorry to hear about your Dad. Hope you get back some more and share some tales about your Winchester 64 and your soon to be acquired pre-64 Mod. 94.

Good to see you back around the fire.

Sorry to hear about your Dad but I bet he was glad to know you had got your life sorted.

If any of those Mosin-Nagants are carbines make sure you don't set the range on fire
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

Welcome back Scott. I know you don't need a lot of distractions while going thru that training but you've been missed.

Sorry to hear about your dad. It's good that you have something so special to remember him by.

By the way, you have a new neighbor in your area. A new member here, Michael Z. lives in Dahlonega. Maybe you guys could hook up some time.

Thanks again, everyone!

Dahlonega is not very far at all from a range I frequent!
If he's new here, he'lll love the state range at Wilson Shoals WMA, except on weekends!
(Everybody and their brothers seems to be there sat-sun, so I go on fridays a lot,)

Yeah, I'm sure Dad is smiling. As an added bonus, Well Fargo called me an hour ago and made an offer to modify my home loan, thereby adjusting the rate and payment amount each month!
I have a year to refinance after the finalization of this deevorce, so I can fix my credit again!
