Silent Loads Again

Post by Hobie »

If you have the time, trundle on over to the Cast Bullet Association forums, look under Singleshots for Ed Harris Bunny Rifle and watch the vids. One CAN get quieter.

I should say that Mr. Harris isn't "shooting" for silent loads here but for low decibel but effective loads. I think the upper limit he's set is about 75 decibels.

Hobie

Dittos on the "too many sub-forums" thing - I took one look at the pages and pages of forums and gave up even finding the topic...

Lots of forums do that, and it is really annoying. Ours is better.

Nothing wrong with effectiveness at a level that doesn't damage hearing. Sometimes you don't have time to put hearing protection in or on before you need to shoot.

Ever since I accidentally fired ONE round from a .44 Mag handgun without my Mickey Mouse ears on (my left ear buzzed for a week!), I haven't fired anything until I plug my ears somehow.
