OT - A Kid's Simple Pleasure

Post by DBW »

So this morning I'm rolling down I65 near Bowling Green, Kentucky when a car does a slow pass on my left. Sitting in the passenger seat is a young boy of about 10 years old. As he comes even with the side of my cab he begins pumping his right arm up and down for me to toot my truck's airhorn. I oblige the youngster. He immediately is grinning from ear to ear and is excitedly saying something to his dad who was driving. The boy waved back to me as they soon outpaced me. I waved back.

To be a kid again. Life... simple and uncomplicated. No wonder Jesus said not to suffer the little children.

I never had kids. I think I missed out.

Same here. There are plenty of unwanted kind suffering through this sorry excuse for a society/education and they are the ones who will bear the brunt of the future - whether it be the descent into the abject nightmare the RINOs & DemSocs are creating or the war that will likely be needed to stop it...

Wife & I decided long ago that when we are economicly stable enough for Kids, we will rent some who need a stable home.

Have four girls. Would of been nice to have had a boy, but I'm more than content with what I have.

I've got two little girls on the other side and a 20 year old son here. I may grow old,
but I'll never grow up.

Old Dwayne is a young guy yet, but I got tired of tooting an air horn after about 30 years of it. The last 12 I just shook my head side to side, hope I didn't stunt any kids growth by doing that.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.
