Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd do it to my favorite gun first.

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking of trying it my "evil black rifle" first, as I run a lot of ammo through it.

Did you notice that you need to reapply after every 1000 shots? Let's see...$84 every 1000 rounds...and lets say that the average 30-06 lasts 5000+ rounds...you do the math. You'd be a long way to a new rifle at that point.

1000 rounds isn't much in AR terms. I'm with Ed on this one. I don't know that the average life of a barrel 30-06 or otherwise is 5k rounds but by the time you apply this stuff 3-4 times, you're getting pretty close to the cost of replacing the barrel. New AR barrels run +/- $200 so the Lifeliner seems a waste to me. I don't see the product being valuable in a hunting rifle either. Most of us don't shoot 1000 rounds in them.

I was taking a wild stab at 5000 round average on the '06. Most people are minute of deer rifle users, not benchrest shooters who "claim" a barrel is worn out in the first 1500 rounds.

Looks to me like its a $1,200 solution to a $250 problem. I shoot a lot through my ARs but with chrome lined barrels and careful cleaning, I've got 14k rounds through one with only slight accuracy issues. Let's see, 14 times $84 equals $1,176!!! I can get a brand new barrel installed for 1/4 that price.

In addition, benchrest shooters monitor their chambers, especially the throat erosion and change their barrel when the throat wears, not because of the bore. That's something that this product isn't going to be able to address.

My take? Save your money.

I don't know about the product, and I'm not interested. However, in reading the description and product information it appears that ONE purchase of $84 would last through several applications. They are showing a pea-sized amount on the tip of a bullet, and it appears that the package contains many peas worth. I don't think you have to keep buying the stuff. You don't buy a new jar of Hoppe's every time you clean a gun (presumably).

Perhaps I am wrong, but that makes more sense to me.

Interesting stuff anyway.

It does require a refined snake. but that's also why it cost so much. :D

Does a refined snake wear a dinner jacket and smoke a pipe?
I like the Tetra Gun oil. I have had good luck with it and barrels seasoned with it seem to give me about 100 to 200 fps above expected results. Accuracy is always as good as I can possibly shoot. It is probably better than I can shoot, but that is tough to determine without a Ransom Rest or something like it.
