OT: Lil' Guy Got One

I took my oldest boy Brandon dove hunting today. He'll be four years old next month. This was his first dove hunt. We have been practicing in the house. I throw a stuffed duck and he shoots it with his shotgun that fires a soft foam dart. Today he used a 1939 Champion top lever .410 bore. On the second dove, a very close range incomer, he raised the gun and pulverized it. The dog made a short retrieve. He fired 4 more at passing birds but this was the bag today.

Wow! I think Brandon needs to teach me how to hunt and fish. He has some talent. He's a lucky kid having a dad who takes the time to expose him to some great stuff. These are the memories that he is going to carry with him for life. Your a good dad Joe. Great job Brandon! Dad is going to have to build a trophy room for all of your trophies! Keep it up!

Great pic!!! I hunt with many adults that have been shooting at doves for years that will fire more than 6 12ga or 20ga per dove killed. Great shooting! second shot, four years old and let alone, a .410!!!
