Rossi 44WCF, will not shoot well with full mag tube.

Post by gregg »

I have a 44 WCF Rossi I bought 12 yr ago. Still a work in progress.
This thing has never shot well. I got where I glued the mag tube to the
barrel for about 4 inches with a industrial rubber glue more like shoe goo.
Had to cut a little wood out of the forearm. There a web between mag tube and
barrel. This help when there only two in mag one in chamber. So we are are at
gas check bullet. at .431. and glued part way mag tube. I think if you could fix
mag tube to the receiver it be good. I think the mag tube is pushing on the thin barrel
way to much. Barrel is thin . I don't think you could cut a dove tail in it for the front sight.
Should I glass bed the mag tube to the barrel length of forearm with releast agent on barrel then supper glue
the glass bedding to the barrel? Could use solvent to get it to release down the road.
Could use releast agent on mag tube also and use the supper glue to hold it altogether?
