I am the first...

Post by haterock 2 »

In my little country to get one of these. Uberti 1883 Burgess in 45 Colt. I havent had the time to shoot it yet, but its the first rifle ever, that I dont want to take apart, to slick up the action. Both action and trigger are smooth as butter. What do You think?

I keep looking at these Burgess copies. Picked one up at the NRA Annual Meeting exhibit to handle it for a minute but it isn't in .44 WCF... yet.

I think I want one of those. And I don't care if it's in 45 Clot or 44-40.

Those are really nice looking lever guns.

Gongrats ! - I'm sure you'll be the envy of all your fellow levergunners, over there !

Remember that, although new, internally it's really an 1873 Winchester, so please refrain from putting strenuous loads, that a Model 92 would easily digest, through it.

I LOVE those case colors !

Hobie, Taylor's will take an order for a Burgess in .44-40, they advised it was available, but the waiting list is 60-70 days. You can reserve one by e-mail.

Of course, your "little country" WAS once the scourge of the World...

So hoist a flagon, put on a horned helm, and raise the Uberti to Niefelheim and lay waste to Europe...

It needs a good Viking Raid.

That is a beautiful little rifle. I'm glad they're making repros of some of these old guns. Please keep us informed as to how it shoots and handles.
