looks like some of the hippie/Flower Power outfits from the "Summer of Love" era....

For those who come to San Francisco be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.

Ya gota hand it to a MAN who'd go out in public dressed like that... I'll bet that '73 came in handy, now & then...

I could do the jacket --- reminds me of a lot of the Steven Seagal movies a few years back when he always seemed to be wearing an exotic western or oriental themed jacket --- very cool (but not very subtle)

The style derives from various American Indian themes and motifs, most of which were seldom seen by the general white populations of early frontier settlement. It was kept alive by men like Cody & Hickock, in their thespian adventures, to denote them as Plainsmen...

Cody's normal attire here in his namesake town, was a 3-piece business suit.

hey Rob, yes i have been thinking i need an outfit like that, would blend in quite well around here at times...........and since animals have limited color vision it would serve as camoflauge from them!

I think the frontier was home to some strange dudes- or as the English would say- eccentric characters.
