POLITICS - Brady Bunch on Castle Doctrine

Post by cnjarvis »

Quote from the Dallas Morning News:

"The right to defend yourself anywhere you have a legal right to be and immunity from civil suits are the key issues the Brady Campaign fights against."

Unbelievable that anyone would think that a person has no right to defend themselves.

Ever since I saw the event of Sarah Brady walking up and embracing Bill Clinton on TV in a nice warm hug in front tof the whole world, I knew this broad was trouble, not only then, but would be on into the future. She was Kerry's buddy too. What ever happened to the stories circulating a short few years ago that she was almost dead of lung cancer? I'm pretty sure I recall that story, that she was a very heavy smoker, and all ate up inside. She probably has some hateful person allready waiting on the side to take her place.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.

Hell, I'll bet the democrats aborted some innocent late-term fetus and transplanted its innards into the old hag.

Yep, just scooped 'er out like a indian canoe... FrankenHag lives.

Thank goodness for choice.

35th Anniversary - Roe v. Wade today.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

From that article Brian Malte, state legislative director for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence said;
"One of the things we like to point out, especially in the public domain, is the chance that folks who aren't trained with guns will hit innocent bystanders."

In many states, including Texas, the bystander has no legal recourse, Mr. Malte said.

"To show how outlandish some of these laws are, if a person files suit, an innocent bystander against the shooter, there's a good chance they'd lose," he said. "And if you lose, you have to pay all the court costs."
I don't think that's true for Texas. It is my understanding that even though the shoot may have been righteous, if you accidentally shoot an innocent bystander you are in deep dodo criminally and civilly.

Is he lying or has the laws changed.

Jerry,

A sad situation for more than one state. Arkansas could not get this thru session in '07. Rep. Mike Burris is the advocate for Arkansas. My Rep Johnny Hoyt has already says he'll back HB1027 but he didn't even get to vote on it in '07. The next session is '09 and I'm hoping he or Mike Burris push this bill so it can get voted thru.

Here's a link that might cover why it failed in Arkansas more than I can.

Yes sir, I know. But it was the only representation that I could find. Plus it put forth those states that were to introduce their version of the Castle Doctrine for '07.

You can make Missouri a red state now. Our Gov. signed that bill last fall.

Just by the post I can tell that the Brady clan are full blown communists. They do not believe in the individual being able to do anything for themselves.

A large number of people went to the gulags for defending themselves from a home invader under Stalin. It was considered an anti social crime to defend yourself with any kind of weapon. The average sentence was ten years.
