What would you sell?

Post by Tycer »

OK, need to generate some funds to buy Sixgun's Colt 32-20.

I'm torn as to what to sell.....

Rem 700 BDL 7mm Mag Left Hand topped by a Leupold Vari-X III 4.5-14-50 Adj. Objective

Beater Rem 870 12ga

Beater Win 140 12ga

Freckled Marlin 990 22LR Ducks Unlimited

Win 94 Trapper 357 Magnum

Win 94 Trapper 357 Magnum chambered to 357 Max.

The 700 would get it. The 94's would get it. The other three combined would not.

Hmmmm. What would you do?
Kind regards,
Tycer

Tycer,
I would dump the Remington 700, especially if you don't use it much. The others all share the same quality....handiness.

Best of luck, Tom

I regret the many times I let go of an excellent firearm. Most firearms are excellent.

If you have a beater car, sell that.

Beater or not, I've never sold any firearm that
I didn't regret later.

Someone posts on this forum every few months wanting a ".357 Maximum Levergun", so although it might not sell quickly, if it isn't something you want to keep that badly, there do seem to be folks who desire one.

Otherwise, I'd sell the most 'generic' guns first - the ones which can easily be replaced with a nearly identical one fairly easily. None appear on this week's "imminent-ban" list, so most could be replaced later if needed.

I'd be glad to keep that .32-20 for you while you decide. . . I'll even test it out just a bit for ya. . . Take as long as you want to decide. . .

can you still shoot 38 special and .357 magnum in the Trapper .357 max? If so, the .357 Trapper could be considered redundant.

If they got to the list of which one to sell, I'd sell em all!!! List em all and then unlist when you have the funds. Keep the trapper .357 because if you listed it, I would want to buy it and I don't need another .357 lever gun!!!! :D

I'd sell the 700 if you don't need it. It can be easily found and replaced down the road if you so choose.

I should note that the 94 chambered for Max will not cycle Max. It will eject the spent cases and follow with 357 or 38s.

I would put all of them except the Trappers on the auction block ---- unless one or more hold any sentimental value for you.

However, just noticed that Remmy is a left hand version with a very nice optic, --- if you use it, i'd keep it. LH guns dont show up as much

who knows -----

I actually have four 357 Trappers, buckets of brass and the stuff to fill them. TEOTWAWKI preps. Looks like the 700 will go. I'm thinkin' $600.

I do NOT like to part with guns, but I just did this same kind of calculus and it went this way.

Which gun do I actually USE (keep)

Which gun will likely bring the best value (not lose my shirt letting it go) Sell.

Unless ya use that 700 a bunch, I see a price tag on it and GONE. It has nice glass and is a leftie, so might actually draw a premium for that reason.

Guess I am the odd man out!
Of those you listed-----
I'd dump em all "except" the 700 Remington(w/great scope)unless I was right handed!

I just sold several guns and a nice stock.

All three were completely redundant.

This is a personal thing - only you can really answer the question.

However, I will admit that I thought of the Rem 700 first... too.

I agree, a good left handed rifle can be difficult to replace. You say you have several 357 94's, get rid of some of them.
