Bad day for varmints

Post by gamekeeper »

There's a Walnut tree about 40 yards from by back door, about this time of year Mr Squirrel comes along to check it out, well this time I saw him and first and my 9422 loaded with CB longs stopped his stealin' ways! I then checked my Fenn Trap behind my shed and found I'd caught a young Rat.
Not exactly Deer or Bear Huntin' but about as much as I'm allowed to do here.. Although a couple of weeks ago I actually got to use the 30/30 but it was a case of SSS. so no report.

Hey game keeper - It may not have been the big game hunt of a lifetime, but at least you're out there doing something fun and that you enjoy. Life is as grand as we'll let it be.

Not a bad start John, as least you got to pull a trigger. But it sounds like the huntin' might be better up north, where Nath is located.

( Bring the 30-30 along, as you'll be getting close to Manchester... )

Good to know that SSS is a common practice in the English-speaking world! :D

Today it seems that Mrs Squirrel came looking for her late husband and sadly met the same fate. 50 yard head shot with iron-sights, I surprised myself some, ('course luck had nothing to do with it) :?

Those little CB longs are great little pest exterminators.

Two of them together is enough for a nice meal of squirrel gravy and biscuits.
