Super Colibri + Marlin 39A = Squirrel stew.

Post by meanc »

Carried the 39a and Colt Frontier Scout with a hand full of Aguila Super Colibri for some quiet squirrel hunting this morning

Saw the first one about 25-30yds standing straight up. Got it with the first shot.

I prefer the Super Colibri. Scary quiet, accurate, and squirrel lethal to 30yds.

Out of the Marlin, all you hear is the hammer drop and the bullet hitting the target.

Very Nice...! Neat pic.

I have some of the Regular Colibiri's. I tried shooting them in a Rem 514 and they don't make it out the barrel. Just a heads up to make sure the Super's don't stack up in your rifle as well.

Love the Super Colibris. Make my own .357 variant, but I keep the .22s with my Henry MiniBolt...

My 39AS shoots Remington shorts the same way and I can find them at Wally World.

Rusty,

I picked up some of the Remington shorts a while back. I think they were the 29gr high velocity shorts, but they were pretty loud out of my 62a and 39a. Sounded like a firecracker going off.

I'll head out to walmart and see what they have in stock. They may have a different one out.

Got a couple more. Going to put them in the slow cooker and have it ready for breakfast in the morning.

I'd fry em up, but trying to watch my cholesterol.

Yes sir. Doing some remodeling to our house up here. Hopefully we'll be ready to completely move by next June.
