Friday in East Texas

Post by SJPrice »

Good Morning to all,

Just in from early morning chores. I had a bit of luck last night in that I caught the thieving little bandit that has been helping himself to the bags of cattle feed, a few pellets at a time. He is still in the live trap for now. I am not sure who he is as he is wearing a black mask over his beady eyes, but from the look of his striped tail I suspect he is a raccoon. It is chilly out there this morning. 19 degrees, clear and calm. The stars are all out from hiding and the sky is just grand to behold. Good luck and be safe this weekend all you Leverguns hog hunters. Looks like the coffee is ready, have a great day.

He must have some close relatives as I've seen them throughout our great nation. :D

Well, just got back in from mid-day chores. While out at the barn I ended the thieving career of the raccoon when he met with a 165 Hawk from a 348 Winchester. (I believe in using enough gun) Actually just happened to be what I was carrying while doing chores. Hope everybody's day is going great.

Steve, how about some pictures of your spread? Maybe take a camera with you on your chores. I'd love to see some of East Texas where you're shooting up the countryside with your 71!
