Got my GBL back from Rem.

Post by Pitchy »

Got the GBL back, shoots great.
Don`t know if they replaced the barrel or indexed the other one, it looks new as the old barrel was a little sharp around the crown and this one is stamped REP s . Can`t remember if it was stamped that way before or not. All in all i`m happy with the job they did, hope they passed it around the shop and showed them what a smooth action feels like because i had it like glass.

Always nice to hear when a manufacturer steps up to the plate and stands behind their product.

Guess i can`t complain too much other than it should of been right in the first place but seeing there was a change in companies hopefully they get it together.
Costumer service was very friendly and they paid the shipping.

Pitchy,

THat's a nice looking rifle. I like the full length mag tube. What barrel length is it?

Now, which one you gonna shoot the most, the GG or the CB?

Speaking about big wood on guns the guide gun weighs the same as the CB with six rounds in it. So the CB is lighter.

Now if they'd only jump on the 338's they have. Several people on marlin owners have had their 338's at Remington for MONTHS. All for the exact same problem- a canted barrel (we call it barrel droop as they shoot 3+ feet low at 100 yds with a scope's elevation maxed out.

One individual sent his in since last year. And every time they call they get fed some kind of excuse.

This gun didn`t have barrel droop, the barrel wasn`t indexed at 12 o-clock. They either put a new barrel on or turned some off the shoulder and tightened it up more.
Took six weeks to get it back.

The action on my 336ss was pretty tight when I sent it back because of a bad chamber/headspace or both. Came back last week pretty smooth too. But i'm with Pitchy, they all should leave the factory like that and shooting perfectly.
