Didn't know Marlin was making .30-30 large-loop 'guide' guns

Post by AJMD429 »

Didn't know they made these:

BudsGunShop link->> Marlin 30-30LL 6+1 16 LAM
($477 to your FFL, no less... 8) )

in .30-30 - I thought they were all .45-70's.

...now if they'd just make them in .444 Marlin... 8)

Let's see now, They shortened the barrel to 18.5" but kepted the six round mag ?
From the looks of my 336's, that would make the mag two inches longer than the barrel.

I have a Glenfield Marlin 30 that hold 5 and the tube stops about 2" past the forearm!

One of these is on my list, but I'm waiting until they have made them in the new factory for a few months. I have a Winchester 94 with a laminate stock and this would be a good companion. God Bless.

I always thought that 444 Marlin would be a great round for a “shorty barrel“. Same results, but wont be slapping you in the face every time you shoot it.

BTW, squill hunting is still popular, they just don’t want you bringing down the limb along with the critter.
