Way Off Topic, and Personal
I was dreading my 60th, but today was really special, made that way by Daughter, and friends, and co-workers. Daughter suprised me at work with a bunch of flowers, and balloons, and took me to lunch. Co-Workers had a cake and 75$$ in Cabela gift card I had been upset about the expense of the F250 lately (payments, and diesel) so out of curiosity I went down to my dealer and they had a new 2010 4X4 Ranger there. Set up with a classIII hitch. That Super Duty was a bucket truck, but the bucket was too expensive...I cut my payment in half with the Ranger. All in all, a very nice birthday...I guess 60 won't be too bad afterall.

Glad to hear you had a good day.. Since I turned sixty nearly three years ago, I have enjoyed being an "old fanny burp", I get away with much more than I ever did before.

Hope you had a happy birthday, it sure sounds good. Just remember it is only a number. Take care of yourself and the number really only counts once you have 3 digits in it.

Just think about that Blaine?
You have a loving child that cares so much about her dad to do that, and you have caring coworkers/friends that also cherish you as a friend. You have already lived to 60 and heading for 90 or beyond.(my friend, life is good)don't sweat the small stuff cause it sounds like you got the good life going on.(here's to ya)
ps----I love those Ranger's(they are one tough little unit)and hold up forever. Congrats

The fun is just beginning. And just a little off your topic - my wife says why would anyone buy a Mercedes when Ford and Buick are making cars. She would look a you as a smart guy - a guy who has some sense.

Man I didn't realize you were older than the hills! And as such the Ranger is gonna be a good truck for you. No longer needing a lift to get in and less chance of a hip breaking fall when you try to get out.
Congrates on the great day and Happy Birthday!

By your post your life definitely isn't that bad. In fact, you've got it better than a lot of people I know. Happy Birthday and enjoy it.

Re: Way Off Topic, and Personal
In another thread you mentioned you were hatched on a Friday the 13th , do you notice when they apear on the callendar and celebrate a " mini birthday " when a friday the 13th shows up ?
Reason I asked is my better half was brave enough to agree to get married on a fri the 13th instead of the weekend days before or after
Was back in '95 and we try to make a point of celebrating our " mini anniverserary " every time one rolls up on the callender.

Well, somehow I missed this... HBD a tad late!
A Ranger is on the short list when it comes time to replace the Colorado. Since I don't have to carry much (unless I'm planning a range trip ) a "small" truck works just fine.

60
Dang your getting old.
That was a nice truck (for a ford), but if its a price thing then I spose the ranger will do what ever you need it just as well.

Have a great birthday! Pretty neat family and folks surrounding you.
I only dread one birthday and it was a stunner. I am the happiest most upbeat person you ever saw. But when I turned 30, it was like I was a different person. For some reason I moped around and for the first time in my life I was DOWN! It went on like that for about 3 weeks and then my wife put her foot down. Since then, 40 was great, 50 was awesome and I have no fears looking toward 60!
Have a happy birthday!

Blaine!
Happy birthday!!
You were born in a great year my man! My ageometer turns over the big 6-0 in October. Worst part is that my joints need grease, but there aren't any zerk fittings that I can find!
Don't let the bosses get you down too bad. You only have a few more years to go and you can tell them adios.
Did you ever find that 1951 model 94 that you were coveting?
