OT *graphic* Mule deer bowkill

Post by n2t »

Haven't been on much, too busy. But bow season opened and I have been practicing so I decided to get out. I'm currently shooting a bowtech heartbreaker, 60lbs, 360grn arrow with a 3 blade mech. 275fps, 56ke. Spotted a nice sized mulie doe, got within 56 yards, ranged her and let fly. I backed out as she ran. Next day, went out, picked up my arrow and found her 50 yards away, double lunged. Tenderloins for dinner, not a bad day.

Ty all. It was a decent shot for that range. I ranged her with a laser range finder so there was no guessing, she was still, and I have a 70 yard target in my back yard I've put a few thousand shots into this year. Took second at a local 3d shoot using my full hunting setup so I put in a lot of work before the season started. I knew I was capable of making the shot, quartering away or not, I'm pumped it all worked out as it did, she didn't get far at all.
