Neck Knive

Post by HEAD0001 »

Guys I am looking for a nice small neck knive. It will also be used as a patch knive for my flint lock.

I am looking for a reasonably priced knive. But I am not exactly sure how much that is??

I think I want a knive with high carbon content. Normaly those are easier to sharpen??

Please show me some pictures of what you guys would recommend. Thanks, Tom.

Take a look at this one sold by Joe Williams at The Gun Works in Springfield, Oregon. I usually use pre-cut patches, but I do have one of these knives. They look great!

The Green River patch knives are good. You can Google them up. Crazy Crow sells them as a kit. You would have to make your own neck sheath but that isn't too hard. They are carbon steel and a lot of knife for the money.

They have neck knives too but I don't know much about them.

I don't have a neck knife or a patch knife so I can't help there, but the word is KNIFE - not knive.

Get a Buck Paklite Caper. I gave $12.97(at Dick's sporting goods on sale) early in the week for this knife and I'm impressed. It is a fixed 2.5 inch fixed blade(420 SS) with a skeletonized handle that weighs only 1.1 ounce(under 2 ounces case and all), plus it is shaving sharp from the factory. The case is light, trim, and black cordura that is made to be put on a belt, you could hang it around your neck I suppose but you might want to make a case for it. Did I mention its made in the USA. If you want affordable, sharp and extremely light-weight this is it.
Check it out. http://www.buckknives.com/index.cfm?eve ... uctid=3700
