OT-first snow

Post by jnyork »

Entire Eastern slope of the Wind River Range is white with snow this morning, down to about 5500'. Just enough here in Lander to turn the lawns white. Time to head south for the winter.

Had snow here Wednesday morning above 5000 feet. I'm in the Siskiyou mountains just north of the California border in Oregon ...

Snow, already? Wow, I was hoping for a little more time. Really hope this year isn't a bad one. We could use a mild winter.

Got our first touch of snow here in Littleton, CO this morning. Just a dusting in our valley really but it's still white.

Have been driving (hauling Frac tanks yesterday and a water tanker today) around in it the last two days in the oil patch south of Rock Springs, and north of Green River. Not too much, but enough to turn the oilfield roads to mush and require you to chain up if you don't want to get stuck or slide off into a ditch.
Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer.
