Ruger says they have sold their entire production capacity for 2012 - S&W says the same.

Been trying to lay my hands on one of the new 22/45 "lite-threaded" models, and No One has them and Ruger is not accepted orders. Glad for them that business is so good. Sucks for those of us that want their guns!

Call "Murphy's Gun Shop" in Tucson, AZ. They'll set you up if they have it, and they do have plenty of Rugers in at this time. They'll ship it to your dealer for a small fee.

Also, I just checked and Gallery of Guns (Davidson's on-line gun brokering site) has plenty of 4.62" Blackhawks in various calibers available. Put in your zip code, select your local dealer, pay the down payment, bada boom bada bing, the gun will be at your dealer in less than a week.

Davidson's is an outstanding wholesaler and I've used the Gun Genie over at Gallery of Guns many times. If there's anything at all wrong with the gun (even cosmetic), Davidson's has a no fuss return or exchange guarantee.

Was hopeing to maybe trade a new marlin 45/70 guide gun for a nice 4.62 blackhawk or old model vaqureo but can't find a thing in north central Mn. Most shops don't seem to do any trading anymore either.

A new shop here in Folsom has a .45 Ruger Blackhawk 5.5" for just over $550. I've been eyeballing it pretty hard, but I'm holding out for a 7.5" model.

They are like rabbits around here, in S.E. Pa.--the gun capital of the nation. I glance right by 'em, only stopping to look at flattop variations of the "Old Model" persuasion.

Can't see aliens abducting Rugers, especially the new models.

The cost to return them for the obligatory recall would be prohibitive.
