Prayer request for a young lady

Post by Hagler »

Ladies & gentlemen,

I would like to ask you for some more prayers. I have a cousin who is going blind from macular degeneration. Her name is Haillee, and she is 14 years old. I understand that she may be visiting with an out-of-State specialist, in the near future. Would you be kind enough to remember her in your prayers?

Thanks,
Shawn

Yep. I've had many patients who are older whose prayers are that they could switch places with young people like her, who haven't gotten a chance to live as much life yet. I think they are sincere, too. Prayers up.

Definitely done. Am all too familiar with - my mother got hit with like a ton of bricks at 77, worst of news delivered to her on morning of 9/11, ain't that the kicker, but even though hardly young she had been so active she had been like a 54 year old and it undid her, hit her life ultra hard. As folks have said, this gal so young though--that's double or triple tough. Back then, we got the run around from some well-meaning but sadly mis-or-underinformed, but also some condescending, under-motivated types ("hey, she's 77!"). The state-of-the-art wasn't near what it is today, I gather, so we'll sure keep the good thought going. At the time IIRC Rutgers, maybe Jphns Hopkins (?) and New England Eye_?_ (forget the name) were the forerunners in experimental/trials showing promise. We almost got her in one of those but a supposed expert here said hers sadly was not the type. Sorry, this one's close to home for me!
