Dogs---They sure are somethin'. Last night I was getting out of the shower and our 6 mo. old Yorkie sneaks his head in the door and graps my old underpants and takes off like a bat outta heck. That dog did not know the danger he put himself into.-----------Sixgun

One of my best friends wife has a dog that loves to chew on bluetooth headsets. He got ahold of mine... once. When the dog yelped, his wife came in the room to find me holding the dog upside down, by one hind leg, telling it "DROP!" I'm apparently, NOT her best friend. When she went to scold me, I flat told her, that... "if you wanna buy yer dog $100 chew toys, no problem, but I preferred cash, up front!"

I don't find little hellions "cute". In children, felines or canines. Obedience schooling is well worth the time & money/effort. Leo Rosten was right.

Reminds me of the time my Dad bought me a paint brush at the hardware store.

We stopped in at the post office on Main St, dad jumped out to run in and get the mail. He bumped into someone and started chatting. After 20 minutes or so the curious four year old boy with a new paintbrush digs out a can of oil from under the seat, takes the adjustable wrench out from under the seat, pounds a hole in the oil can, and paints the entire interior of a new 1973 Chev pickup with 10W30. After about 45 minutes Dad jumps back in the truck.

We drove up to the house he was building and proceeded to paint my tricycle, by hand.

We adopted this little (then) Boxer girl at estimated age 2 months - and NOTHING was safe -

Now - about 95% trained - she catches tennis balls in mid air -

Does a "sit-stay" on command -

And now says grace before eating all the things she still eats if not watched -
