I think the one on the GOO stage is bigger than that, like 6' IIRC, that one seems a bit smaller.Griff wrote:Part of the orinal stage from the GOO (Grand Ol' Opry)?
EDIT: Nope, I'm wrong, that's it. Gotta love Google.

Re: Who knows what this is?
Bingo!
So I got invited to the CMT Music Fest in Nashville as an independent songwriter. Opened for Medicine Ball, a Detroit heavy metal band that toned down their stuff and played acoustically to honor country music. Short story, the lyrics to one of my songs won a competition. Got invited to perform it at the pre-show at the Grand Ole Opry. Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity, Vince Gil played that night along with others. I got to go in here with the families, friends and backstage pass holders:(incorrect date-stamp on photos)
Then I got to practice here on the circle:
Then they documented my appearance with a photo just before the show:
And the performance ...
You can see that being somewhat nervous, my fingers are simulating the guitar chords so I keep proper time and don't forget the words. If it were a stand mic instead of a remote I'd hang on to it to keep from doing that with my hands. Gotta work on that...
I'm going back the last week of June. Another song is going to be mastered by a producer with professional musicians and singers and brought over to a publisher to showcase to major artists. Maybe with and incredible amount of luck...

Really? They got it there? I just figured... Joe, country music singer/writer and all, knew that part of the old stage was center of the new Ryman Auditorium... cool. And, very sincerely... Congrats Joe.Tycer wrote:I think the one on the GOO stage is bigger than that, like 6' IIRC, that one seems a bit smaller.Griff wrote:Part of the orinal stage from the GOO (Grand Ol' Opry)?

They let you wear crepe sole boots in Nashville? I thought they issued you a pair of Porter Waggoner style cockroach killers as soon as you crossed the state line !
